Our genuine hope is to bring joy with our designs while creating as little negative impact on the world as possible.

We have a lot more work to do, but here is what we are currently doing to minimise our negative impact…

Metal: We use recycled and/or SMO (Single Mine Origin) gold in our jewellery.

Our gold is hallmarked by the London Assay Office to assure its gold content and purity.

Using 100% recycled gold is a step towards reducing the negative impact of mining on the environment and the communities affected by mining.

However, SMO gold is a further step towards supporting workers and communities by providing fully-traceable gold from mine to my workshop. Traceability ensures that the gold has come from a source that has no link to conflict, pays a fair wage to the workers, supports their health and communities, along with protecting water supplies and having a low environmental impact.

SMO gold is a little more expensive than non-traceable gold, but it is an active force for good.

Gemstones: Our diamonds, pearls and other gemstones are sourced from conflict-free, Kimberly Process compliant sources. The most ethical gemstones are reclaimed and antique stones, no new mining has to take place and vast amounts of energy are not needed to grow a diamond in a lab.

Packaging: low impact, considerate packaging. We use FSC certified cardboard postage boxes, along with paper tape, paper covered jewellery boxes.
