One of our favourite painters, Richard Croft, is based in County Down. His still life paintings of fruit and pieces of paper are delightfully simple and elegant with a graphic edge. The main thread throughout Croft's body of work that inspires me most is his colour palette. Croft really knows how to use accents of fresh citrus to cut through creamy, purple-tinged neutrals.
In design, the simplest things are often the hardest to achieve.
